    Q:- Two bodies of different masses dropped from same height strike the ground at same time. Why?

    Ans:- As we know that acceleration due to gravity doesn’t depend upon mass of bodies.

    Two bodies of different masses dropped from same height have same initial velocity and accelerating at same rate. That’s why they gain equal velocity in equal interval of time. Thus, they take equal time to cover equal distance and strike the ground at same time.

    Q:- All ores are minerals but all minerals are not ore. Justify this statement.

    Ans:- As we know that natural substance which contains metal are called mineral. But Ores are those minerals from which metal can be extracted by easy, economically cheap and on large scale.

    That’s why all ores are natural substance contains metal on large scale. So, these are minerals but all minerals can’t be used to extract metals.

    Thus, all ores are minerals but all minerals are not ores.

    Water as Heating agent
    Q :- Water is used as heating agent as well as cooling agent. Why?

    Ans :- Water is used as heating agent because it has high specific heat capacity (4200 j/Kg0C). So, to decrease the temperature of 1 kg of water through 10C, it has to loose 4200 J of heat energy. That’s why it takes more time to loose such huge amount of energy and remains warm for long period of time. 

    It is also used as cooling agent because of high specific heat capacity, it has to gain more amount of heat to increase its temperature. To gain such high amount of heat, it takes more time and remains cool for long time.

    Only one character in 1st Filial

    Q - Only one character of parents is expressed in 1st filial generation. Why?

    In hereditary cross only one character is expressed outwardly in the individual of 1st filial generation because all individuals of 1st filial genrations are hybrid. It means all of them contains both dominant and recessive factor of a contrasting character. 

    According to Law of dominance or, 1st law of heredity dominant character is expressed outwardly even in presence of its allele. That’s why only dominant character or, only one character is expressed outwardly in 1st filial generation.
